MORIOKA, Japan - A total 232 skiers glide down a slope at a ski resort in Hachimantai, Iwate Prefecture in northeastern Japan, on Feb. 27, 2011. The parade was recognized by the Guinness World Records as the ski parade with the highest number of participants after all the skiers crossed the finish line.

ATHENS, Greece - Naoto Sato (L) and Koichi Ueno, who are 17-year-old seniors at Soka High School in Tokyo, hold up their bronze medals awarded at the 35th International Chemistry Olympiad in Athens on July 13. A total of 232 participants from 59 countries took part in the competition and 70 of them were awarded bronze medals.
